2026/4630/TPO Derbyshire Small Permitted Trees T1: Mature Sycamore: DBH approx 50cm. Height approx 14m. This tree appears in good physiological condition. However there are two serious concerns related to this tree. The first issue is potential root plate movement. The residents have informed me that they believe that the tree rootplate has shifted since the heavy winter storms of 2025. While I had no means to compare with previous position of root plate, my examination of the area in question in July 2026 showed signs that the root plate has indeed likely shifted. Due to this trees close proximity to a family home (less than 10 metres distance) on one side and a fairly busy road to it's east, this tree poses a potential risk of harm/damage to property, and highway. Recommendation: Dismantle to ground level. , T2: Mature Ash: DBH 50cm approx. Height 18m. This tree shows fair to poor vigour. While signs of ash dieback are low (I would categorise it at ADB Stage 2). However, this tree has developed a phototropic lean towards the road with leggy growth while situated on a slope. Therefore some maintenance would be recommended to manage it's size and risk due to lean. Recommendation: Reduce by 2 to 3 metres in height and lateral growth over road. , T3: Mature sycamore: DBH approx 40cm. Height approx 14m. This tree appears in good habit and vigour and structurally no issues. However, the resident would like to manage it's height in order to keep this small garden maintained adequately. Recommendation: Reduce height by 2m. , Green waste arisings: All branches under 5inch diameter to be chipped and removed from site. Logs to be kept by customer for personal usage. Pruning works will be carried out using the standard guidance of BS3998:2010. , 6 Longedge Lane, Wingerworth, Derbyshire, S42 0 17/07/2026 00:00:00 /planning-applications/local-authority/Derbyshire/uid/323032362F343633302F54504F 53.2098 -1.4274 6198068

2026/4578/TPO Derbyshire Small Permitted Trees Crown lift to remove branches overhanging property (including outbuildings) of the tree identified as T1 beech on the plan. All branches below the red line shown in Photo 1, which overhang the property, to be cut back. Branches of T3 beech which are low hanging and which overhang the property to be cut back. T2 sycamore and T4 sycamore do not appear to have any overhanging branches however due to the density of the canopy it is difficult to be certain - if any low hanging branches do overhang, these will also be cut back. , Works to be completed by a professional & fully insured tree surgeon. , Regarding ownership: The trees are located at the rear of 174 Stonelow Road. The exact location of the rear boundary of the property is unclear; therefore precise ownership of the trees is unclear - for this reason I have completed the ownership details as unknown, though we do believe that at least T1, which requires the majority of work, is within our boundary and therefore ownership. Land to the southeast of the stream, labelled on the plan, is owned by the council. However ownership of the strip of land to the northwest of the stream, up to the rear boundaries of the properties on Stonelow Road, is unclear - title plans show there is a gap between the stream and rear boundaries of the properties on Stonelow Road, but it's not clear how large this gap is. This strip of land is a steep bank. The council have confirmed they do not own this land, as their ownership ends at the stream. 174 Stonelow Road and land to the rear (south east), Dronfield, Derbyshire, S18 2EQ 08/06/2026 00:00:00 /planning-applications/local-authority/Derbyshire/uid/323032362F343537382F54504F 53.3056 -1.4526 470600
