Turkey Oak on top of steep bank leading down to Warren Road (only one in the garden of The Grange and easy to see from Warren Road). The Tree Officer approved the removal of all branches and foliage in between two recent big storms. This was because the roots of the tree had dislodged rocks, stones and earth and sent them down onto Warren Road below. Luckily no-one was hurt and no cars were damaged (a rare absence of cars parked at that spot). The police had to close the road. Council employees attended to help.We seek permission to take down the remaining trunk following the engineers report as requested by the Tree Officer.Holm oaks on the top of the bank will be allowed to regrow and create a high hedging all along as per exisiting.
