DC/055476 | Stockport | Small | Rejected | Trees | Rowan Tree - We are about to embark on building work, already approved on planning application DC053723. Due to the shortage of parking in Water's Edge, we would like to remove the tree, to enable as much space as possible for skips and vans during the building work. This would help ease any disruption to our neighbours. Following completion of building work, we intend to re-surface the drive and plant another tree.HAR/CA20 | 14 Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EX | 20/05/2008 | Link | Link

DC/059424 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | Ash Tree - fell because too close to the house. In small garden and self seeds. Also in situ where there is underground drainage. Not a good place for a tree, so no intention of planting another.HAR/CA20 | 1 Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EY | 20/08/2010 | Link | Link
DC/065546 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | The trees are located to the side of the property (Waters Edge) and to the rear. The Sycamore to the side of the property has been suggested to be felled as it has already dropped a large branch into the road missing a car by inches. It is obscuring the street light and is growing on raised ground making it unstable. I am particularly worried about this tree as the pavement is used by schoolchildren. After felling, I wish to replace with either a Silver Birch or Eucalypyus after levelling the earth. To the rear there are another 2 Sycamores, both badly pruned and dying in areas. Both are growing on a bank and unstable. If branches or the whole fell, they (or it) could fall into the nature area of Ludworth school field. (A tree in the field has been felled for the same reason within the last few years). Again, I wish to replant 2 trees a further metre or so into my property away from the bank as replacements when works are completed. This would most probably be Ash. DC/076770 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | Ash tree- fell because it is in front of my house and have been advised it is unsuitable as its difficult to keep under control. I have contacted Woodfelder Treecare arborist and tree surgeons of Manchester who can fell the tree safely. They recomend a safer non invasive tree such as an acer. the estate has undreground drainage surrounding and I would not want to worry about risk. DC/080664 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | The tree, the only one on the driveway at the front of the house, is a mature Rowan tree and I believe the wrong tree type was planted at the point in time when Waters Edge was built. The other driveway trees are all ornamental versions, rather than being standard size. There are several concerns with the tree, as follows:- Our neighbour (Number 13) has complained to us on several occasions and to the Council about the damage to his driveway caused by the large root structure of the tree. - The height of the tree is huge, our town house is 4 storey and the tree exceeds the height of the house quite significantly. As such, it blocks out light and may well be interfering with the joint drainage system that runs across the front of all the town houses within Waters Edge.- Due to the height and size of the tree, I also worry for my and my neighbours' properties should it, for any reason, fall. Loose branches do sometimes fall in strong winds and I am concerned that the larger the tree gets, the more damage it could cause to property if branches continue to fall. I am also concerned for the safety of the children that play around Waters Edge (including my own) and for the other occupants of the area (many of whom are elderly). The plan would be to resurface the driveway and put in place landscaping and a small ornamental tree, perhaps not in the same position, but within the driveway area so that the front garden remains pleasant in appearance. Several of our neighbours have already removed their trees or pollarded them significantly, so the removal of our tree would not look out of place. Tree at number 13 - heavily pollarded / Tree at number 15 - removed / Tree at number 11 - removed. - HAR/CA20 | 14 Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EX | 20/04/2011 | Link | Link
DC/080868 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | Tree of unknown species, no TPO, in a conservation area. It is leaning into the garden to such an extent that it is nearly on the ground. We want to fell the tree. - HAR/CA20 | 16 Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EX | 20/04/2024 | Link | Link
DC/081470 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | Sycamore Tree - Remove lower branches to lift crown to give a 3m clearance, the tree is encroaching on the patio and causing shade. - HAR/CA20 | 14 Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EX | 20/06/2010 | Link | Link
DC/083874 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | 14 FT Leylandii conifer (T1) -reduce in height by 4ft. Young Lime approx 20ft (T2,T3,T4) - prune by 30% to maintain suitable size for location. HAR/CA20 | Riverside Court Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EY | 20/01/2008 | Link | Link
DC/090645 | Stockport | Small | Permitted | Trees | T1 - ornimental conifer. G1 - group of 3 lime trees. Remove all due to low amenity value and blocking light for residents. HAR/CA20. | Riverside Court Waters Edge Marple Bridge Stockport SK6 5EY | 20/12/2021 | Link | Link |
