Trees A B C D and E are Acers Sycamores The proposed work is to crown reduce of approximately 20 feet. Tree B is to be reduced by Northwest Electricity. The trees need reducing because of the danger of falling onto people passing by in the lane. They are also in danger of falling onto high voltage power lines or damage property. In the past two years three trees near by have fallen down one causing damage to the farm house. (Conservation Area: 3)

Replace all windows and external doors. Eleven of the windows are wooden framed and rotten beyond repair with damaged sills and broken glass panes. They are of varying styles and no longer function as they should. The remaining three windows are modern white UPVC double glazed plastic and are not in keeping with the age and style of the building. We will put in replacement wooden framed double glazed windows as described in the accompanying design and access statement. The three external doors are also wooden and date circa 1960. They are also rotten, draughty and leaking water. The door to the front of the building will be replaced with a wooden door of a Georgian six panel style. The two rear doors will be an English cottage style to complement the age and style of this side of the building and rural setting.

The woodland is approximately 40 years old with a mix of different broadleaved species including a small number of pines within the woodland. Compartments have been marked out for tree removal (see Appendix 1). Compartment 1 will be cleared leaving 1 fully mature Sycamore in place. The trees are of a poor quality, with Ash dieback present. Compartment 2 will also be cleared adjacent the building, there are 8 trees within the area of poor quality.Compartment 3 contains a selection of 8 trees which are on the edge of the woodland located within the garden. These are proposed to be removed in order to provide light to garden enabling improved utilisation of horticultural growing space.Compartment 4 will be cleared to make room for a vegetable garden and mini orchard. The pines that are planted within the woodland are spaced out at 2m intervals; these will be removed. This space will be replanted with new broadleaved species. Thin out general area, removing Elder and Willow, while taking self-seeded trees less than 10cm DBH. The hazel can be coppiced on a 5-year rotation. There are a number of Ash trees with dieback and dead trees within the woodland which will need removing. HAR/CA3.
