The application seeks to construct a stone / tarmac access road. Road to be 3.5m wide and approximately 220m long and will include up to 3 passing bays along the route, at which point the track will be 5.5m wide. Double leaf security gates will be located at the southern end of the access road. These will be 6m wide and 2.13m high. There will also be a 2.13m high chain link security fence leading from the hedgerow at the junction with Temple Lane to either side of the gates and along the east side of the access road going north to the WRC boundary Additional works associated with the scheme will be constructed under Wessex Water's permitted development rights and are detailed in the Environment and Planning Statement included with this application.

Application to discharge Condition 10 (Birds) of permission SCC/3865/2021: No vegetation removal works, comprised of trees and hedgerows, shall take place between 1st March and 31st August inclusive, unless a competent ecologist has undertaken a careful, detailed check for active birds’ nests immediately before the vegetation removal works commence and provides written confirmation that no birds will be harmed and/or that there are appropriate measures in place to protect nesting bird interest on site. Application to discharge Condition 11 (Reptiles & Amphibians) of permission SCC/3865/2021: Two weeks prior to any developments taking place on site, grass, ruderal, and hedgerow lower stems will be strimmed/removed by hand in a two-phased cut; the first being to 20cm and the second to ground level to allow any reptiles, amphibians and hedgehogs to disperse naturally without injury. Following this an ecologist will carry out a fingertip/destructive search of the area to ensure that there are no reptiles present.
