Prior notification for demolition of 4 x Magazine Retrieval Facilities (B747, B735.1, B739.1 and B740.1) and 1 x redundant Assay / Stores Building. The magazine retrieval facilities comprise of a steel frame overbuilding attached to the Magazine structure by a reinforced concrete collar and founded on a concrete slab. The retrieval facility contains several modular rooms contained within an overbuilding. The overbuilding construction is a steel portal frame with insulated steel cladding walls and pitched roof. B748 is a steel frame over building with metal and foam cladding with an internal building of wooden partitions and plaster board on a concrete base.
Improve the site's infrastructure by creating an additional road that will link street 3, 4 & 6. This change will improve the logistics of the LLWR site for plant and machinery traffic as it will allow segregation from the roads utilised by personnel vehicles which is a significant site safety improvement. The additional infrastructure will be a two way road totalling approximately 715m in length. It should be noted within this application the road itself will be longer than the boundary of this application as it will run through an area of LLWR that is approved for development covered by application 4/15/9012.
