PROPOSED VARIATION OF CONDITION 1 - THE PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE EVENT CAP The applicant proposes that this condition is varied to allow up to 9 additional full capacity non-sporting events per event calendar year (events with a capacity of over 51,000 people). These additional events could take place under the existing cap, but the capacity would be limited to a maximum of approximately 51,000 people for each additional event. If approved, up to 46 full capacity events, including 22 full capacity sporting events and 24 full capacity non-sporting events would be permissible, with the ability to increase the number of sporting events by up to 3, providing the number of non-sporting events is reduced by 2 for each additional sporting event. The applicant advises that this variation of the major non-sporting events element of the event cap is sought to allow the hosting of additional music events/concerts.
